Here’s why you should have a coach:
There is way too much going on out there in the fitness world. It all looks good, smells good, and sounds good, but you can’t do everything at the same time.
What I am referring to is all the diet plans, supplements, workout programs and accessory work.
But you can’t do it all, and trying to do too much at once, will actually have a reverse effect, and actually set you back. I’m guilty myself and I’ve seen it happen to others.
Everyone on the face of the planet probably knows about overtraining, and yes, we’re all scared of getting injured. But what most don’t realize is that just like there is that “sweet spot” of the amount of food to eat ( pun intended ), there is a “sweet spot” for training.
Too little, and your progress will be slow and feel like it’s taking forever. But doing too many workouts has the exact same effect. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s not a typo.
We choose our online training options because it’s a great balance: It’s not too little and it’s not too much. But even as hard as some workouts are, many people are tempted to do more: to add a little “recovery run,” or even to do multiple workouts in a day. This is NOT the path to success.
More is NOT better. Better is better.
You need a coach. That coach is your filter.
Your coaches are here to tell you what’s optimal, not what’s minimal.
At BTG Athletics we want to talk to you every month, sometimes more. One-on-one, in person, virtual, it’s your choice. We want to know about your goals, check in on your progress and then prescribe you what’s best going forward.
The last thing we want you to do is guess at something, or just wing it.
Hopefully you don’t try fad diets just because others are doing them. People ate dryer sheets at one point in time, that doesn’t mean its the smart thing to do. We don’t even want you to worry about what the other members are doing with their programs, because everything is built for you. That’s what we do.
You have a coach.
We are the filters.
When you come across that workout online and say, wow that looks rough, I’m gonna give it whirl tomorrow, shoot your coach a message and ask, “does this fit my goals?” Take it from someone who has been that guy. Your body will thank you.
